Q3 of 2024 was a huge quarter for product development at Foundation.
As always, we try to strike a balance between investments in major projects, smaller features, and continuous improvement of our existing products and services.
Here, we'll feature a few Q3 highlights to help keep you in the loop. These include:
White-labeled iOS and Android apps for homebuilders, your buyers, and your homeowners
470 merged Pull Requests (one way to measure the # of changes made by our engineering team)
Hundreds of design updates
Keep reading for the good stuff.
New: White-label iOS and Android Apps
For the first time, homebuilders can launch their own white-labeled apps in the Apple and Google Play App Stores in weeks, for a fraction of the cost of custom app development.
Foundation-powered apps feature the same content, configurations, and customization as your customer portals on desktop and mobile web browsers. The same app works for your under-contract buyers and your homeowners.
The Apple and Google Play app stores have approved our first white-labeled apps; we’ll publicly announce our first cohorts of app customers over the next few quarters.

Thinking about your own app? With Foundation, you can go live in the App Stores in as little as two weeks, with just a few hours of your team's time. Just get in touch.
Customer Experience
New features and continuous improvement for your buyers and homeowners

Messaging (Chat)
Messaging is live (as an opt-in feature) for homebuilders using Foundation. Q3 upgrades to our Messaging experience include an improved chat experience in the mobile Operator app, automated email notifications for unread messages, and more.
New (unread) messages are delivered via both mobile push notifications and email.
Warranty
Owners can now submit multiple issues in a single service request, including photos and video for each issue. Builders can also include phone and email escalation paths for emergency or urgent home issues.
Home Products
Foundation's homeowner experience is even better with new functionality and upgraded design. In addition to high-impact features like walking your owners through appliance warranties, we've upgraded the core design for our Home Products feature. From appliances to HVAC to paint, give your owners self-service access to everything they need to own & operate their new home.
Our Home Products database features almost 900,000 unique products, growing fast.
Operator
We call our tools for homebuilder teams — whether that's sales, construction, CX, or customer care — our "Operator" products. From field teams to closing coordination, purchasing, leadership, and more: these are the folks who operate your business.
This homebuilder experience evolves as rapidly as our buyer- and owner-facing products. Every change we make to our Operator products saves your team time and helps deliver a better buyer experience, more efficiently.
Improvements to our Operator product in Q3 include:
New Community filters
Improved filter designs for Transaction Status (Pre-contact, Under Contract, and Closed)
Badges to display when a buyer last received an update
Major new updates to manage your communities, teams, utilities, and more
